Social Southern Kitchen & Cocktails is a locally owned, upscale, casual restaurant offering contemporary Southern food. Owners Erika and Jeff Gibbs have drawn from their experience with low country cuisine in Charleston, and incorporated select elements from a pub and an upscale restaurant – both of which they owned in Elkin, North Carolina.
They’ve built an eclectic Southern menu by including higher end items, as well as more casual items, like great burgers and cheese plates. Thus they accommodate special occasions and weekend nights out, and more casual mid-week dining. Social Southern offers some great dining specials every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night.
Some of the signature items on the menu are shrimp and grits, steak frites, sautéed mussels, oyster po’ boys, linguine carbonara and crab cakes. Social continually gets new rave reviews from diners who appreciate eclectic Southern fair with low country flair!
