The Cutting Board

The Cutting Board is a locally owned family-style eatery offering an extensive salad bar plus steaks, prime rib, burgers, salmon and other seafood entries. We have been a staple of Alamance County for nearly 50 years, since 1969.

Our story starts on South Church Street. Back then we were called The Patrician. But thanks to you we quickly outgrew that space and moved to Alamance Road, where we took on the name The Cutting Board. There we operated for 30 years until 2004 when a tragic fire consumed our building and put us out of business. However we wouldn’t let that stop us. We took the opportunity and moved again to a larger building and reopened on Ramada Road in 2007.

We haven’t forgotten what has kept us around this long. It’s everything from our fresh chuckburgers, endless salad bar, homemade sauces, soups, and most of all YOU! Thank you for that. We use Certified Angus Beef products that come in fresh, never frozen. Our steaks, burgers and farm raised salmon are cut, made and prepped fresh daily. Our chefs cook over the dry, white hot heat of charcoal. This allows them to sear in the smoky flavor by creating a crisp, caramelized exterior.

The Cutting Board was voted ‘Best Dinner’ in Alamance County in 2009 Readers’ Choice Awards! Join us for a meal or cocktails! We are now accepting bookings for private events. Whether you are a regular or never stepped foot inside before, we would love to say hello and have a chance to serve you.
